Bruno Mathsson
The architect and designer Bruno Mathsson was born in Varnamo, Sweden in 1907. No one has made a larger impact on modern Swedish furniture design than Mathsson. Bruno Mathsson and DUX had a close, creative partnership during the 60s and 70s which created several timeless design classics that DUX still produces.
Comfortable seating is an art, but it shouldn’t be. Making furniture to sit on should be produced with such fine art that sitting in them doesn’t need to be an art.
